You do have a way with words, enjoyed this post so much.

Your points on your quilt were flawless 20 years ago! I loved the heart pattern quilted into this top, what a perfect design for this quilt.

Happy 4th of July Nicole!

Rainy here today so it's a good time to get caught up with my Sunny California friend! I loved, loved, loved this post. I hope you are printing these off for your grandchildren someday. Seriously. The quilt is absolutely beautiful.

Karen

Happy 4th of July, Nicole! I wonder if you really know what an impact your blog is having on all of us lurkers! I am your biggest fan (in my mind) and I love all of your quilts and fabric combinations! Could you please answer a couple of questions:
1) Do you prewash your fabrics and batting?
2) Do you store your in-the-works and future projects in the plastic bins for long periods of time and how does it affect the fabrics? (the experts tell us not to store quilts in plastic bags, etc.)
3) Do you wash and dry your quilts in machines? (The experts say to wash by hand with a mild soap in the bathtub and then put them on sheets in the yard to dry.)
4) How do you use your quilts and do you worry about fading? (could we see photos please?)

I have been quilting for a long time (I hand quilt so I'm not very productive) but I don't have a lot of confidence and often don't appreciate what I've done until I look at the quilt again after a few months, or a year, or decade! Your quilts always look just right and I am always inspired.

Thanks so much,

Karen

Lynn
