You know...there are some techies who swear by putting it in the dishwasher to clean it. :) ...On another note...I was too busy to actually sit down and comment on "Flowers for Clara" yesterday. Uhm...seriously. I have quilt lust. If that thing comes up missing, you might want to check my house!

I spilled water on my lap top while it was in the docking station (my work computer) and got lots of frowns and then a new lap top. I hope you get this problem solved soon. I can't wait to see what's next!

I wouldn't miss not having the TV, a telephone, MAYBE the microwave, but not my computer. But the real issue is the disruption of my routine and how it just throws off the whole day for me. Pathetic!

Kristin

I spilled something on a laptop once at work and the IT department turned the computer upside down for several hours to get the liquid out. In the meantime, maybe a little sewing would be a way to start your day!

Susan Ramey Cleveland

Oh No! Get that thing fixed soon, Nicole. One of my morning rituals is reading your blog.

Carol Lewis

So sorry to hear about that. Maybe a new laptop is in your future. I hear ya about the computer, I'm on mine all the time too. Life without a computer is too depressing to imagine, LOL. On the other hand imagine how much sewing will be accomplished without a computer.

Bummer, man. Total bummer. I'm hopeful DH can work it out this weekend. And you know, I wonder what we did before this, too. Actually, I know what I did. I had to go to work really early! I think back in those days I was working and had to arrive by 5:30 or 6:00 or something rude like that. How did I do that?

Nan S.

If it didn't do any damage to the computer itself, could you just use a regular wireless keyboard and mouse? That's what I use with my laptop. By the way, have your stunt sewing projects shown up yet? I'm sure we'd all love to see the final results, but don't know where to look!

Sherri

I know...how did we live without computers and specifically internet?! Our hard drive crashed a few weeks ago...and it was horrible! Luckily we were able to retrieve everything and are now prepared with a back-up external hard drive..but wow...what an eye-opener! Hope your laptop is easily fixed!

jeorg

there must be something in the water. i just killed my iphone! and it is dead dead dead. i am sorry.

Allyson in Alaska

Uh oh, you're just going to have to use that extra time to quilt. Darn.

No computer is no fun. I too, have my morning ritual and when something happens to mess up the routine, I pace back and forth and fret about it. We are creatures of habit, we are.

Hope good computer news is in your future! We just got a Dell flyer in the mail yesterday. Some pretty good deals for Christmas. *wink wink* Maybe Santa will come early.

Cheryl

I did that once to mine too . . . turn it over onto a towel . . . for several hours . . . once mine dried out it worked again . . .

depending how far yours opens . . . I had to roll up a few towels and kind of position mine over the roll . . . because the cover only opens so far . . .

good luck . . .

Julie

I am so sorry!! I have done the same...to the work computer!

Laura B.

YUCK! I hate computer issues! I hope it all works out.

Christine Thomas

I could get on my technology soapbox. My family rolls their collective eyes when I get started.

I hope you can quilt some more; then you'll have LOTS to blog about when all is well.

Cara

You've probably pooched it. I had one that got spilled on, and it couldn't be saved.
Hopefully you get it to work out though!

Carol

No, please say it isn't so...what am I going to do without my morning with Sister's Choice?

sherry

Sorry to hear about your computer. Hope you will be up & running again real soon.

Nanna mary

OOPS I hope you can get it fixed I would be lost if i couldent read your blog.
Hugs Mary.

Laura Tawney
