Welcome, August. Summer is on it's way out in many places, where days are noticablely shorter already and folks' thoughts are turning to fall. Well, here where I live, it is going to be an average of 90 degrees most days until the end of October, but I know it isn't too soon to be thinking about a little Halloween project. We've got Christmas in July all over Blogland, how about a little Halloween in August?
In the photo above, you see some cute Halloween fabrics I've been collecting. Just waiting for the right project. Now, I have a couple of Halloween quilts, and also a couple of Fall themed table toppers. You could rightly say that maybe I have that niche filled in my linen closet.
Nuh uh. There is always, ALWAYS room for another Halloween or Fall project in the decor. So here's what I'm thinking--
Who says magazines don't have good projects anymore? Granted, this is an issue that is a year old, but still. Don't you think it will be an adorable table topper?
After I finish Spools, this is up next. I think it will be a quickie.
Added later: I found a link to the pattern!
I recently finished this cutie and it is at my quilters. You will love it!

What a cutie little Halloween quiltie. Hmm, wonder if I could place my spools on a background randomly like that...Love the idea of hurrying summer off. We're running over 100 degrees these days, in fact a record 112 yesterday. Yikes, that's too hot!

Oh! I was so excited and planned to go in search of this magazine before reading that it was a year or more old. It's too cute and your fabrics will be perfect for it!
Wonder if the pattern is on-line somewhere?
Hugs!

Adorable! I was going to say that is not the magazine on my stores shelf~ I looked and was disappointed it didn't have more Halloween in it, and then I read it is an older magazine. :-/ No wonder. Your fabrics are perfect for that cute topper! Have a great weekend!

No I don't want to think of Halloween! It's only the beginning of August and although it's been an unusually hot July here I hate to rush Summer by, our Winters are just too long and cold around here :)
Though I do agree what a cute pattern :)

You are definitely sandwiched Nicole. So happy to read you have some vacation plans. Your Schnibble is adorable and wow, when do you get the eye glass cases and zip pouches done?
