I was a very lucky winner of a fat eighth bundle of gorgeous fabric last week. Sinta and Sherri are hosting a fun sew along called "Another Year of Schnibbles", and have several sponsors who provide prizes to the participants of the sew along at the end of each month. My name was drawn and this is my fabulous prize, provided by Judi of Green Fairy Quilts. Thanks Sinta, Sherri and Judi!!
The fabric collection is "Independence Trail" by Minick and Simpson for Moda. M & S are known for their lovely patriotic color ranges, and this collection is no exception. I love the additon of the tan to the range of other colors in this group.
San Francisco would have been my guess at where you were for your business trip. It's a wonderful city and I'm glad I could recognize it after being away 30 years or more. The food, the fun, cool weather in the heat of the summer, water, and great restaurants. Hard to forget. Congratulations on your fabric win. I know you enjoyed your lovely dessert and you will have fun with your Independence Trail.

Congratulations! I have wanted some of this fabric myself. Saw a really neat patriotic quilt in the Fons & Porter magazine that just came out. Thinking of making it with a blend of this fabric and maybe some Fleur Rouge from Anna Griffin.

I just bought a couple of charm packs of that line last weekend. Also a Schnibbles pattern to go with them. I love the colors and haven't made a patriotic-ish quilt in ages. High time to rectify that!

Congratulations!! I have never had the opportunity to sew with Minick and Simpson fabrics but I LOVE them!! The quilts I have seen made from any of their lines are just beautiful. Looking forward to seeing what you make with your little bundle of goodness. :)
