Hope you enjoy your vacation in a cool spot, I think you deserve a bit of time off. Love the April Cornell quilt. I bought the same fabric and made a quilt for my son and his wife when they married a few years ago. I still have some scraps that I actually pulled out last week, thinking I might make something small for fall. Perhaps pumpkins with a scrappy border.

Diane

So pretty. I was in my LQS yesterday and they have fall colors and delightful Christmas stuff out already - what a way to make us think summer is done!
Have a great trip.

Yes, your fall "longings" I can totally relate to. These past 3 weeks in So. Cal. have been a pretty hefty burden to bear. (I know, we chose to live here) The humidity has been unusually high and I think that is what makes the difference.

No worries on your Spools, I'm sure they will be fantastic when you are done. I've put up an updated photo of mine, which are still not finished, but at least there are more today!

Have fun on your upcoming trip and may the travel angels be with you.

Marsha

You said it Sister! I am all for bringing on fall and cool weather. I am from Iowa and the heat and humidity have been unbearable. We have had some relief the past couple of days but still - I am sick of it. Time to hunker down and sew! Have a great trip and I, for one, cannot wait to see your pictures of all your finished projects or newly started ones.

TAKE PICTURES! LOTS!
Oh, and have fun too!! LOL!

Megan

Have fun on your trip! I have a last little bit of that same April Cornell fabric that I'm saving. The paisleys and polka dots in that group were perfect fall prints! I've seen a few April Cornell fabrics in JoAnn's over the past few years with their other "designer" fabrics, but I haven't heard anything else from her.

Marge

Enjoy your vacation. But when you come back you must check my blog for pictures because my great grand daughter will be born next Wednesday!!!!! Then we leave next Friday, yikes a week from today!, for our little drive to Alaska!

Have a good trip and try not to worry about Grandpa.

Jan

Have a terrific trip and don't worry about us...we'll be right here waiting for you to return! Take lots of pix and sew up a storm!!

Karen

I love that April Cornell quilt, such pretty fabrics. I can't believe I missed that? Do you remember what the name of the line is?

I hear you on the temps... we just returned from vacation in TX where is was so warm and back here in MN things are cooling down already...fall is definitely on the way!

Jean

Have a fun and safe trip!

I'm with you! Summer can be over as far as I'm concerned (Fall is my favorite season anyway). Yeah, what did ever happen to April Cornell? I went nuts last year looking for some of her fabrics I needed to finish a quilt. And, my favorite quilt is made of her fabs. I will miss your posts, but have lots of fun on your trips!

Indeed bring on fall and cooler weather - I am so tired of being hot!!!
Enjoy your time away and as others have said take lots of pictures.
April Cornell is still in business - she has an on-line shop (no fabrics though) - simply enter her name in your browser.

Have a wonderful trip! You are coming back to my area. Last time around you lead me to a great quilt shop. I am anxious to learn what you will teach me this trip!

sherri

You put it so nicely...weary of summer...I think I am downright done with it...so ready for fall...maybe I need to get out the fall quilts...maybe that will cool things down..I wish!

Have a wonderful vacation!

Chris

I found some April Cornell fabric at Joann's. It seemed like good quality so I bought some. It was in the Designer fabric section.

Sherry

Autumn is my favorite (after my Michigan winter, of course)...your autumn quilts are beautiful.

Have a relaxing, much deserved vacation!

Michele

I could use some fall! Too much heat, rain and humidity here. Thanks for the inspiration :-)

Barbara Anne

What beautiful and varied autumn quilts you have to add those lovely seasonal colors to your home!!

I am surprised that turning your OP blocks on point makes your quilt look so very different from the 4 block Halloween wall hanging I made during Pat's enjoyable challenge weekend. I'll have to peek at your past quilts to see all of your pretty OP quilt.

Wishing you lots of fun, cool temperatures, and delightful friends to play with while you're away. You'll be missed here.

Hugs!

Jeanne

have fun on your trip and travel safely.
ps...fall has to be close...12 more days until football !!
