I'm so glad you are liking your machine! I took my Bernina 150 in for annual service and put my 640 in the table. Not crazy about the 640 but like you, I need to just dig in and sew on it. It is a good machine, just not the "favorite child"! Happy stitching!

wll done on the Penny Pincher blocks and I stand in awe of your lovely Magic of Christmas blocks. You've lost none of your amazing energy, have you?!

Love the blocks. They look so good. I am glad you took the plunge with the new sewing machine. it is a great asset. If you take down the Christmas blocks now, you will have plenty of time to find a day to cut lattice for it at some point.

Once you decide on the lattice you'll be so happy the blocks are finished & ready to go! You can have a project later this year & a new quilt for Christmas...did I say that??? It's waaaaayyyyyyy too soon to even be thinking about Christmas!!!!! Good to hear the new machine is working out nicely--there's always a learning curve.

I'm glad that after the first hiccup to getting along great with your sewing machine:-)
Love your Penny Pincher blocks and you're really fast making them but making the same block over and over again can be a bit tediuos.
You still hve time till next christmas and by then I'm sure you have your quilt done. Wouldn't it be a perfect project for xmas in July?

i hate making lattices, too. ;p

I too am trying to finnish a christmas quilt that I had started prior to my trip to Californis. Road to California was terrific and despite the rain I had a great time. Saw some of my favourite quilters which was terrific. Loved it all. Back home in Australia to the heat. Glad you new machine is working well. Cheers
