The blue log cabins are very fresh and beautiful, but wow - those floral variable stars look good enough to EAT - yummy!!!

Beth

I love the star blocks, I'm a sucker for anything with stars! And I love the color combinations.

Pam

Wow I love all your not-project blocks!

LOVELY... I have the blended quilt books but have mostly used them for eye candy and inspiration. Will you have enough practice blocks to create a sampler quilt (or at least table topper)? LOVE LOVE LOVE the blue and white blocks!

Susie Stevenson

Wow, those blue blocks are gorgeous. I am my guild's librarian and we have some blended quilt books. I think I will dig them out soon. You have inspired me.

ROFLOL...Oh Nicole, you are so funny. I don't know why we decided on 2 months, must have been because I knew there was no way I would get even one done in the next month, lol. We are going to change your challenge to finish 3 quilts in the 2 months. I love the colors, but I can't stop laughing, ROFLOL

Oh my gosh I can hardly contain myself. The blues are lovely. Interesting to read about your method.

Now, I really really love these stars. Good lord I dont know what to do! I want to jump thru the screen and thief them. ;)

I even have some of these fabrics with no idea what to do with them. Well...now I know.

Thank you!

Susan

I love how you fussy cut the center of that third star. I love to make blocks like that. These are great. Glad you aren't making that project. =) The blue blocks are coming along great!

OMG Nicole. I love those stars. I don't know which one of your non-challenge quilts I will like the best. It's a good thing we don't live closer, I would be stealing some blocks. LOL

Zegi

LOVE the star with the bird in the center! Actually I love them all but the bird is an extra kick of awesome.

Dot

Your stars are lovely. It will be nice to see them in a quilt.

Juliann

How frustrating to be waiting when you are so ready to start that new quilt! The blocks you have created are also lovely. Hope your fabric arrives very soon.

Nan

All right, Nicole - that beautiful blue log cabin quilt would look absolutely perfect in my bedroom - I just KNOW you're making it for moi!! lol! All your not-challenge blocks are gorgeous! I think you should do this more often!
I'm sorry Ozzie ate your iron AGAIN - I'll send my crazy Gracie over (I'll bring her!), and they can play and play and play and we can sew and sew and sew!!

Jean

I hope you have a good security system on your house! From all the comments, those blocks are in grave danger of being whisked away in the night. I love, love, love the star blocks. If you need a good home for them............ He He.

Lovely blue colored log cabin blocks! Yes, I have had some pretty un-square blocks from not cutting mylogs first, so I agree with you.

All of these are lovely. But right now, I'm partial to the blue/white blocks. That's 'cause I'm decorating my bedroom in that color--with accents of yellow and pink.
