The shock of receiving half of what I was expecting in my first paycheck has gotten me thinking. How am I going to pay these darn bills? I do not want any calls from Bob in India, my Nemesis. He is such a doggone pest.
So aside from going into more debt in order to make my payments on time this month, guess what Mother's Little Helper is? EBay.
I have decided to try and sell some of my old purses--hardly used, good as new, and taking up room in my closet. Second string purses to me, but classics and A-List purses to somebody out there. Great brands: Coach, Dooney & Bourke and Cole Haan. Someone must want them, right?
I spent several hours listing things on EBay this weekend and hope to see some results. I had better sell them because Ebay charges you a listing fee whether or not your items sell!
Wish me luck! It is a good day when I don't hear from Bob.
Next time Bob calls pretend you don't know English. Use Spanish. A few of my co-workers do this just to irritate the collectors.

Nicole . . . try Craig's list . . . it usually works great . . . and it's FREE . . . and you don't have to ship anything because the buyers are local . . . just be sure to read the rules because they will block you out if you do anything WRONG . . . good luck . . . we're doing the same thing right now . . . thinking about our oil bill for the winter here in Boston . . . grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Go ahead and link to your auctions. You never know when one of your blog readers may be just the person to inherit your purse(s).
Do you have the COAs for your Dooney and Burkes and Coaches? Somebody is sure to ask.
Also, as painful as this will be, you could always sell some of your fabric on eBay. Link here so it doesn't get lost in the eBay Mess.
Say hi to Bob for me next time he calls. We are well acquainted.

Oh, I know how mounting debt can be. It doesn't seem bad but then BOOM there they all are facing you. If you really REALLY are stuck, you could try one of those credit places that put your cards together and lower the interest for you? Once you get a bad rap on the charge card companies, your credit rating takes a hit anyway, so that could be an option if things get really bad. Hopefully you can make a few quick sales :o) Otherwise you can always sell some goodies on your blog! Others do it all the time :o)

You are just like me..the purse queen...but then I get tired of it real quick, get another one and then I don't want to use the old one anymore. Try putting some stuff on your blog...and your e-bay link.

Boy do I know that feeling. I think Bob in India and I had a close personal relationship for years. I used to hyperventilate when the phone would ring, or opening the mail (then I just stopped answering the phone or opening the mail). That is awesome that you are looking at ways to add to your income - it's always good to be creative because when the paycheck is less than expected or suddenly isn't there (as was the case with me), it definitely helps to have other sources of income. Good for you!!!

Well I am in almost the same boat except different ocean. I thought I had my Janome 6500 sold (with the full sized table and the extension table to boot) and the lady was all excited and said I will buy it and can I bring a check right now and I had to work today and boom...I get home awaiting her arrival at 7 pm and a message said...sorry I have decided against the purchase. WHAT? and guess what, I had already called the nice lady on craigslist in Virginia and purchased the Bernina I had been wanting thinking the deal was done. So NOW I have a $1500 debt and a sewing machine that is not sold. I am in trouble..my husband says, Pam, it is noticeable how many sewing machines you have had...gulp...so if you know of anyone...send them my way...And good luck...I too have purchased a lovely coach purse wristlet on ebay and love it! Retail Therapy, how we love it and hate it! Pam B.

Hope things are looking up soon. I hate that this is happening to you. Put your items on e-Bay and link here. I, for one, have always wanted one of those bags and would rather see the bucks go to you.
Bob sucks...bigtime!

I hope the sales on Ebay are going well. I love bags myself and I'd have a hard time parting with them too, but I damn sure would if I needed to. Anything to keep the calls from coming. Believe you me, I've been there and worse!!!
Fixed Income Love, *karendianne.

Oh my this is so funny, about Bob. I guess we all know him LOL! I am also looking for extra income because I didn't return to my job due to sciatica. People are always willing to buy no matter what it is you're selling so I have no doubt you will sell your purses. Your little dogs are so cute.
