It's Friday, it's Pay Day, I have no plans for the weekend except to sew, and life seems truly good.
Sara told me she is missing Sophie and needed a dose of cuteness, so I took a few pictures of the dogs last night. I was happy to oblige and had in mind that I would take some photos of the two dogs romping, racing, and being rowdy.
We had left Sophie and her brother Ozzie out in the back yard all day while we were at work and they had amused themselves by digging a big hole in the middle of the grass. Not good. After being scolded Sophie was a bit subdued, so I couldn't really get her to smile for the camera. She has that "Gee, I get yelled at, and I didn't even do anything" look on her face.
Notice the new throw rug I bought at Bed Bath & Beyond? It covers all the stains and camouflages new ones.
I tried to get the kids to look lively for a treat, but no go.
All that romping and digging must have been really hard work because after their dinner, both Ozzie and Sophie were totally zonked and just wanted a bit of a rest. Here's Sophie, trying to keep her little eyes open.
Both of my pooped pups finally just succumbed to the desire to have an end to their hard working day.
Ozzie must have done most of the work, because even Daddy's bony knees feel comfortable.
The Princess prefers soft quilts for her beauty rest.
I tried, Sara. Maybe this weekend I will have better luck photographing Ozzie and Sophie actually doing something!
Those are two of the cutest doggies in the world. And that new rug also camoflages Sophie. She just blends right into it.

Hi Nicole,
did I already tell that I adore your beloved dogs? {I hope I did}...thanks for these pictures...!
Oh, before I forget: you surely remember that you sent me a Charm Pack along with your "scraps" {I still can't refer to them as scraps ;o) - they rather are called 'Nicole's Treasure'}. A few days ago I sewed the charms into a little reversible table topper for my mom as birthday present. I know, it's not as special as the quilts you so generously share with us, but maybe you'd like to have a look what happened with the Charm Pack ;o).
Hugs to you and your puppies,
Julia

Sophie has the same "Who,Me?" look that her brother has perfected. Such a sweet set of faces, how could they do mischief?

Oh, those faces! I could just pinch their cute little cheeks. That is if they had cheeks.
What is it with digging terriers? Little Maggie had dug one of my beds while my back was turned for two minutes! I can't scold her too much because she's after gophers, I'm sure. She's digging in one of their runs. I've lost roses there from the gophers, so Maggie is just trying to do her God given job. I live in fear that she'll actually catch one and bring it in the house!

Wooo, Whoo! Hole digging! What fun!
A question: how to you keep them corraled when you're away? When mine digs, he digs under the fence and escapes.
I started reading your blog because of your terrific quilts. However, I must confess I'm now hooked on the adventures of Ozzie and Sophie.

I love laying on/under/in my soft quilts too - does that make me a princess as well? How adorable is the picture of your dog on the quilts - the colors even match her - did you plan that? What a wonderful blog!
