How exciting to have these beautiful pieces finished on on display. Binding is one of my favorite parts of quilting... it means the quilt is about to be finished. :) However, preparing the backing is what I dislike the most. I wish I enjoyed it more and would make beautiful pieced backs, but it rarely happens here. Enjoy your hard work and perseverance!

Beautiful quilts for the coming of Fall, coming faster in some place than others. I had lots of quilts done by LAQ before and after my move so I have about 10-12 waiting for binding. I purposely timed myself on making bindings a couple of times and got it down to about 20 minutes for 6-8 crosswise binding strips. That took the drag out of making binding strips for me because I know it takes me so little time if I just get to it. I store them in a little basket in baggies in my sewing room. Some times I make a binding when the quilt first comes back quilted. I freely throw on the floor next to my sewing machine and sew it on without ever rolling/storing it. Slowly I'm getting those bindings sewed down. Try to get one quilt completed in 1-2 weeks, hand sewing. Have just completed the third and #4 is a Halloween quilt so I'm sure to stick with it to have it ready on time. Bribes, tricks and promises are helping me get the bindings done.

All your new finishes look great! And better yet -- what a sense of accomplishment. I'm just working on an old UFO, and it does feel good to know it will be off to the quilter this week.

The quilts you made are all so beautiful. I love the fall themes. I seldom comment but always enjoy your posts and the inspiration you add to my quilting life.
