I see a "shadow" effect in this and love it! Thanks for the tip about not precutting the length of the strips with those rulers.Why cut twice if once will suffice?

Love how your quilt is coming along!
If you are plan to use a JR I think the Room & Board pattern would be better than the Sweet Escape one although in both patterns the log cabin blocks are the same but in the Room & Board the stripes are 2.5" wide.
I went to haave lunch with my parents yesterday and we could sit outside too. Sadly today it rainy, windy and cold again.
