All it took was Eva going back to school and some new Halloween patterns and I am back in the sewing room again. The little pattern above is by Margot Languedoc, whose company is The Pattern Basket. She is known for her wonderful designs that involve blocks that depict something-strawberries, acorns, pumpkins. If you want to make something really seasonal, check out her website or her Instagram @thepatternbasket.
This little quilt is only 25" square, which is perfect for my kitchen counter. I love to have a cute table topper with a candle or floral arrangement on my big counter.
I've been collecting some pretty oranges for the scrappy pumpkin. I tried my best to get my hands on some of that black Halloween fabric used in the quilt on the pattern cover, but that ship has apparently sailed. I did find a super cute black, grey and orange pumpkin print that I could use (upper right in photo). Unless any of you has a half yard of that black print you'd like to sell me? It is Gone Haunting by Clothworks from last year. Let me know!
very sweet pattern and great fabrics!

Geez that pumpkin centerpiece is cute! I ordered the large pumpkin quilt pattern but somehow missed this one in my excitement to get the other one ordered! Will keep my eyes open for the black fabric.

I really like your substitute background, but know how it is when you get your heart set on something.

Cute pattern!
If you go to this site:
https://quiltshops.com/index.html
and go to item search, using the search word 'halloween' and the word 'flannel' in the lower place, then click Thumbnails, you'll be taken to 40 screens of thumbnails so may find your fabric. Using the search words 'gone hunting' did nothing. There is an awfully lot of cute halloween fabric to choose from!
Hugs!

Adorable Halloween topper! You're really getting into sewing for Halloween with a vengeance! I'd be making myself crazy searching for 'Gone Haunting'! 🎃👻

Love this pattern!
I don't think you can still find the fabric, sorry. I remember that Margot mentioned last year when she released the pattern that she has the faabric in her stash for some years already.

I love that pattern - the little bird is so cute. I just don't have much in the way of oranges for the pumpkin. I'll have to see what might be available. Thanks for the inspiration.

LOVE your substitute fabric in the upper right corner! Could you provide specifics on that? Thanks!

I made that little quilt for the charity auction for my guild’s quilt show this past June. I plan to make another one for me. I just love it.
