This Laundry Basket Mystery Quilt will be finished before I know it. Only 20 more blocks to go, and since we make 4 to 8 blocks a day, this will wrap up pretty quickly. The blocks above are 8, 9, 10, and 11. I forget which is which, but the most recent one I did yesterday is the upper right. It seems like kind of a random block, but I have a feeling we will make 4 more just the same today and they will fit together to make a pattern.
I love how Edyta shows us each day how the blocks will fit into the layout. I wonder what will be in the center? She is known for her interesting applique designs and that would work out great if the four center blocks were one large applique. Since applique isn't everyone's cup of tea she probably won't go that direction in a mystery project, but I'd be on board for it! It would be something for your eye to rest on in the midst of all those busy blocks.
Hope you all had aa good weekend, sheltering in place. I got some reading in, as well as plenty of sewing and podcast listening.
I made scones, which were a huge hit with Eva and I. I will make them again soon and take pictures for you and share the recipe.
What a beautiful layout so far. I too am anxious to see what the center will be.

Perhaps the center will be applique, with an alternate pieced finish. It will be fun to find out!
Scones are on the agenda here today. I have buttermilk I need to use up.

I love this project but didn't get involved because I have too many other projects to finish sewing. This is going to be gorgeous.

The quilt seems to feature something for everyone! Maybe she'll offer an appliqué or an alternate for those who prefer to piece. Won't be long whichever it is! We had a quiet weekend & put a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle on the kitchen island to fiddle with as we walk by. At our current rate we should have more than enough time at home to complete it!

I love your brown version! I am making mine in LB pinks and blues similar to the ones Edyta is using but might have to think about a second one at some point.

Your piecing is perfect. I’m forever losing my points on 1/2 sq triangles and flying geese. Any pointers/tips?

Up for another quilt along? Bonnie Hunter has one that started yesterday!

I have been following and hope to get to start on this. It is turning out gorgeous. Thinking of using Christmas fabrics that I have had....well quite awhile! Would be nice if I could get something finished during this quarantine!

Ahhhhh! Another quilt along that I love! I started Laundry Basket, I printed instructions from Quiltville, Grand Country Quilters looks interesting and Sew in' Wild Oaks is sharing the Little Orphan Scrappy pattern. The Border Creek Station one block looks great. I have to stop! I enjoy reading blogs to get away from the news.
