My new 4 inch Creative Grids Log Cabin Trim Tool arrived Tuesday afternoon and first thing Wednesday morning I was up and at it. My first block was completed by 7:30 AM. Do you think I could stop with one? No, I could not. Have you ever seen anything so cute?
Unfortunately, I had things to do, so I only could get 12 made. I'll make four today, for the total needed of 16, and start assembling this little table topper. I have plenty of fabric, I may have to make another for a gift. Or, I could maybe make a Christmas one? Now I'm talking.
But, my little paper pieced stars are calling to me too. I'm like a girl who is secretly dating two guys at the same time. Excited, but feeling guilty whenever I am with one of them instead of the other.
They are darling! I'll have to look into getting this ruler. I'm glad you are having fun!

Oh my! These are wonderful!! Do you know who the designer of the fabric is? Is there enough selvedge to show the name? I've had a Kansas Troubles Christmas log cabin on my list to do for so many years and I'll have to order a ruler to make it because your blocks are just so perfect! Now to decide on the size of the blocks...

The golds & blacks look terrific as little log cabin blocks! You were 'saving' them for this project, after all! Just be careful to call those log cabin & star blocks by the right name!! 😉

I know the feeling. I have already made 100. I cut a bunch of strips in various lengths and went to town, They are soooo very addicting.

You are hilarious! Your comparison of dating two guys with two quilt projects cracked me up! 🤣🤣 I love your blocks! Halloween fabrics are my favorite but I think it would great in Christmas fabrics too!
