I decided to forge ahead with my Flea Market quilt. There isn't much point in waiting for the next step in the sew-along, since not much is being posted about it. I have completed my basket blocks for April and May. I suppose I will keep going with them and perhaps wrap up this project before the deadline. These basket blocks have been super quick to piece with their nice large units.
Caroll asked me about my sewing chair, which I had wheeled out of the way when I took pictures of my sewing room the other day. We got this one at Staples I believe. It wasn't the most expensive one on offer, but it wasn't a cheap one either. It is adjustable on many levels, and I appreciate the contour of the back, which is very supportive. It moves easily, even on the carpet. I think I have had it at least 7 or 8 years, and there have been no issues with it at all. Arm rests are probably not strictly necessary, but I find I do use them on occasion.
Hope your week got off to a great start!
Keep working on the Flea Market; it's going to be beautiful! I have put it off until May as I finish other projects that have deadlines. I'm glad to hear that the baskets are bigger. I will do small blocks, but am definitely not a fan.

Your baskets are lovely. This is going to be a great finish & sooner than later from your progress reports! A comfy, adjustable sewing chair is essential for our mostly seated 'sport'!

I love your Flea Market quilt! I'm sorry it isn't as popular as most of her sew-alongs, I see her blog right now is mostly devoted to the Chicken quilt. I do really like her fabric and most quilts but I'm just not a sampler quilter so I have never joined but I love the Cook Book fabric so may buy a fat eighth bundle or fat quarters if I find them on sale. I'm retiring a few weeks so feel like I need to stockpile fabrics now while I still have a paycheck! Your quilt is really nice!

I love the design and the colors for this quilt. you'll be happy that you finished it! I hate when sew-a-longs fizzle out. :(

Who knew there were so many different baskets blocks...not me. I also really like all the churn dash blocks. I think arms on roller chairs are a very good idea. Two ladies in our guild have taken a tumble from their armless chairs. As they sat down it rolled away from them...thankfully neither were hurt but it gave us all a scare.
