No time to sew yesterday, but at about 4:15 I ran upstairs and got these two easy Blockheads blocks done in an hour. That wasn't amazing, they were pretty simple to piece.
Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts showed her planned layout on her blog yesterday, and I really like it. The only thing is, it would call for a darker background, which I have never done before. I would have to think about what color would work with the blocks I have made. Maybe a light grey.... I dunno. Darker setting backgrounds are kind of a thing lately, and I am not sure if I love them.
Busy day planned for today too. I am heading to my father's house a day earlier than usual this week. He had an appointment with an audiologist this week and is very excited about getting hearing aids.
Hope your week is going well!
I like Cory's plan...how about a medium aqua for your quilt? A darker grey would pull the blocks back and I think aqua would showcase the middle of the quilt. I guess it all depends on what look you're going for. Have a great weekend with your Dad!!

Those blocks are cute! How about a pale aqua or olive green for the background? Not dark, but also not white. By 4:15 in the afternoon I'm about ready to call it a day with sewing & you're accomplishing two cute blocks! Your dad will enjoy hearing clearly with his new 'ears'! Have a great visit with him!

I agree Nicole! I can’t wrap my head around dark backgrounds. I like Jan’s idea. Maybe a soft grunge for more interest?

I like your blocks. My husband just got hearing aids in April. Now he can hear the grandchildren and I don’t have to raise my voice. He put it off for years thinking he was too young to get them. He’s only 64.

Your machine binding looks beautiful! And just a thought, you may want to try wonder clips to hold your binding instead of those pesky pins— they hurt. I certainly enjoy your blog
