I can't tell you how much I am loving working with this fabric. "Cozy Up" by Corey Yoder. It is so cheerful, yet has a late summer/fallish vibe, that is right up my alley. And what's not to love about a granny block? Or in this case, a Great Granny Block.
This large 17 1/2 inch block is the center medallion for this "Family Reunion" quilt from the Rollin' Along book, compiled by Lissa Alexander.
I won't lie, I had to concentrate when lining up my fabric squares for this block, but it all turned out ok in the end. The seam ripper may have gotten some exercise, but it wasn't too bad.
The next round of granny square blocks will be a bit less taxing. And I love making an oversized block and trimming it down to size.
Is anyone else making this little quilt? I think it will be adorable when it is finished. I'd love to know what fabrics you are using if you are sewing along, so please share.
We have very similar taste. I am currently working on Moda Blockheads using Christmas Morning and midnight magic with the same line as the sew along, the name escapes me. I have my Rollin Along book and am trying to wait patiently for the Nutmeg collection to be released. I loved their Cider line. I also have TWO Boho Hearts block of the month coming from two different shops. One is one fourth finished and the second one just
Started. I have had cataract surgery this month so I am behind on everything😊

I have CIDER but no time! LOL. I was thinking Cider would be perfect for this with the blue gray grunge background. Great pattern— thanks for bringing it to my attention.

One of my favorite quilts I've stitched was Lori Holt's albumn blocks. Love the looks of this quilt, will check the book. Have lots of Corey Yoder fabrics, just finishing a quilt from her blue and yellow line, and have more packed away for the Christmas holidays. My fabric collecting backed up during Covid, some came on time and some took weeks so I'm in a fabric jam here. Lots of it is Corey's, will see what I can get done. Thanks for the inspiration, your blocks are lovely.

Your block is super cute! I like an oversized block to cut down because you can 'control' those ¼" seams at the edges so much better! Your summer sewing is moving right along!
