A title I can recommend for you is “Confessions of a Bookseller” by Shaun Bythell. This fellow owns the largest used book store in Scotland, and this book, as well as the subsequent 1 or 2 titles, are his diary of trying to make it as a used bookseller. He comments daily on the number of sales (usually very low), travels he makes to find books for the shop, and observations of customers (he’s a very crusty fellow, and the book does contain some “language”). Nonetheless, the book was very entertaining and I enjoyed learning a bit about the used book trade.
I’m pleased that you’re having a great visit and vacation, and I enjoyed the photos and commentary on Edinburgh. I’m glad you lucked out on the weather there.

Oh what fun seeing a man in a skirt (kilt) and a retro OR table. I have an old typewriter on my shelf at home. It reminds me of my college term paper cramming. You have an eye for seeing the unusual. Have fun.

Sounds like you are having a fabulous time. Great pictures. Enjoying all the traveling vicariously! Stay safe and enjoy! (If can you do both?)

My oh my, continue to have a fabulous time!

It looks like you're having a great trip! The OR suite on a ship is a bit unusual, but interesting! The 'old fashioned' typewriters are definitely a fun thing to see!
