I finished those darn ears of corn blocks and have moved on to the star blocks, which will go much more quickly. I don't think I am going to make this runner as long as the pattern directs. It will be more useful to me if it is a couple of block shorter.
I've been researching some smaller projects that will be fun to work on this autumn. I have so many full-size quilts and don't really want too many more of them. But, I do love working with current fabric collections and making smaller projects such as table runners or table toppers allows me to do that. It is a lot easier on the budget too!
Fat Quarter Shop has a couple of free seasonal mystery projects every year. One is a Halloween project and the other is a Christmas project. Last year I did the Halloween quilt, which was called Haunted Halloween.
This year's pattern is called Spooky and Sweet, and it is completely adorable.
I think it has to be in my future.
This is Star of Wonder, the free Christmas sew-along. A nice small project that comes together easily. The tutorials for both the Spooky and Sweet and Star of Wonder are on several YouTube channels. Fat Quarter Shop has excellent tutorials as does Pat Sloan and others.
I've been making lists of all the projects I would love to make. Do you do that? I love planning ahead and only wish I had the time to sew all the projects that appeal to me!
