Mini Donuts table runner is finally bound and on my dining table while it is still officially summer!
This Mini Donuts pattern is one by The Pattern Basket. The pattern is for a bigger quilt, but I just made a table runner with the blocks. It was fun to make with various Lori Holt fabric scraps and it just the fun summery mood I was going for. I got the lilies at Walmart yesterday for a great price.
Here is a close up of the quilting. I have used this panto so many times. It is called Ginger Snap. It works for so many quilts.
This is the Piece and Quilt project from the Celebrate With Quilts book by Susan Ache and Lissa Alexander. I've got the blocks made through July and will start August this week or next. See how I swapped out the center on the large block on the left in red and blue? The red floral was just too much red. I thought I was awfully clever and managed to insert a 6 inch block of the grey floral instead of the four 3 inch blocks that were in the center. I think it is much cleaner without all the seams.
All the fabrics I ordered on Etsy for my upcoming projects have been rolling in this past week. I have been starching like mad and am just waiting on a couple more pieces to arrive. I think my next project will be the Star of Wonder mystery quilt Fat Quarter Shop hosted a month or so ago. Check out the tutorials on YouTube and sew along with me!
Hope you all had a splendid weekend

What a cute table runner - I love Mini Donuts! And your newest sampler quilt is coming along nicely. I love those muted patriotic colors.

Cute runner! The name makes me think of the County Fair which starts Wednesday. I help hang quilts so I may have to find the mini donut vendor and reward myself. 😊 The blocks in the Piece and Quilt Sampler are beautiful, another wonderful quilt!

Love your mini donuts runner. Those are 'my' colors! I've found fabric on Etsy that wasn't available any longer in either online or brick & mortar quilt shops. The prices are similar & there seem to be pre-cuts, especially. Have a good week!
