I bought this lap desk for my husband, thinking he could use it to rest his laptop when he was sitting in his chair, which was most of the time. He hasn't used it once, but it works great for me as a reading accessory. It is so nice to rest my book on it while I read! My hands don't get tired of holding the book, and it keeps Archie off my lap. lol The underside of it is padded like a pillow so it is very comfortable to rest on my lap.
This is one of the first books I picked up this year, and I am enjoying it. How To Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin. When she was a teenager, a fortune teller told Frances that her ultimate demise would be to be murdered. Frances spent her life trying to avoid this fate but ultimately failed when she was an old lady in her eighties. In her will, she stipulates that the family member who solves her murder will be the one to inherit her entire estate. Lots of twists and turns are involved in the plot in this cozy mystery, which I understand is the first in a series.
Were any of you able to watch or listen to the latest Reeding Between the Lines podcast? In it, Sara and I discuss our favorite reads of 2024. I will also do a written summary of my best books sometime this week, so be on the lookout for that!
