I had to share the cutest bag I purchased recently from the Coach Outlet store. I have a June birthday and I always associate strawberries with it. Strawberry shortcake, strawberry pie, strawberry ice cream: all have been favorite desserts known to show up at my birthday. Anyway, I saw this bag and knew I had to have it.
But I didn't stop there. I wanted a little bag charm to go with it and found this precious thing on Macy's website. It is made of leather and those tiny little "seeds" are minute gold beads. Cuteness overload.
I am not kidding, I get a compliment on this bag every time I go out with it.
Of course with a statement bag like that, your clothes have to match. No clashing prints, orange or aqua will do. I have been mainly wearing red white and blue all month and have no plans to switch out of that color scheme.
I got these Pull On Fray Hem shorts at Chicos and have been wearing them nonstop. I liked them so much I also got them in denim. They are on sale now, so don't wait til they sell out. The length is about 7 inches, I am guessing, which is flattering on my old legs. They also seem a bit flared out at the hem, which is so much more attractive than a tight-fitting short on my legs.
I also got this top at Chicos. This navy and white striped hoodie is just the thing to wear on cool mornings. I took it with me to Carmel and it was perfect for those 65 degree temperatures. Looks great with my white or denim shorts, and any jeans I pull out to wear with it.
This gauze shirt from J.Jill is so comfortable and cute, I had to have it in two colors: red and white. It also comes in black. It is so cool you barely feel like you have it on, yet it stays crisp and fresh-looking in the heat. The length is great to wear out, but you could tuck it in, of course. Looks fab with white jeans or denim. Khaki chinos would work great too. You could also wear it as a sort of jacket/third piece over a tank top.Of course, you need a sandal to go with everything. I love this Taos Big Time sandal in a perfect denim blue. Taos sandals are pricey, but they last year after year, there is no breaking-in period, they are adjustable with velcro straps, and are SO comfortable all day long. They are like walking on a cloud and not clunky-looking at all.
Now for something quilting-related that I just got:
If you could see this in person, you would be placing your order right this minute. The main item is a Thimble Blossoms blue vinyl zip bag with little bow designs all over it. Attach one of the coordinating zipper pulls, and you have the most adorable makeup bag or notions tote you have ever seen. The stack of notepads is based on Thimble Blossoms designs as well and will last me a good while.
I think that is enough Loving Lately for now! Click on the links I have provided if you want more information on any of the items I have talked about.
